VIDEO PRODUCTION

We don’t just create animated visuals—we also thrive on the energy of live action shoots. VizBiz Resident Mary spent her 20s on movie sets (don’t you know Hollywood is in London now—cough cough Star Wars), honing her skills in Location, Unit Publicity & Production departments. So stepping away from the editing computer and back onto set feels like returning to an old friend.

SUPREME SWITCH

The protagonists learn to interact through gestures that echo one another via portals until they’re finally able to breach the architectural divisions and meet in a void.

Synopsis

Supreme Switch was inspired by separation; the struggle of two people to get to one another over physical obstacles and restrictions.

 

"The melody evokes a feeling of struggle yet the lyrics were full of optimism, so I wanted to create a video that played upon those themes. The liminal reality of being able to see but not touch is definitely something 2020 bought to the forefront. My direction was an organic response to the movement of the dancers who’s comfort and intimacy in the way they interact with one another was key to the narrative. I wanted to take that flow and use the striking physical geometry of the architecture show structural division combined with the visuals as a barrier."
